OVERNIGHT · 2 DAYS
MT. FUJI
Beyond Hakone, the mountain is waiting. Arrive lakeside by evening, then ride the shoreline at dawn before the tour buses wake up — Fuji shows its true face only to those who stay the night.
THE SPOTS
01
Lake Kawaguchi · Oishi Park
The classic Fuji-over-the-lake view. Come early for the mirror reflection; the northern shore road is nearly signal-free.
02
Yamanaka Panorama-dai
A hilltop over Lake Yamanaka. Go at dusk, when the lake turns orange under the mountain.
03
Lake Motosu
The Fuji on the ¥1,000 bill is drawn from here. The quietest of the five lakes, with impossibly clear water.
04
Oshino Hakkai
A village of spring-water ponds fed by Fuji itself. Cold water and soba noodles — the perfect mid-ride reset.
